The Gingerbread House (Alfonso Cavite): Bring Out Your Inner Child

The Gingerbread House Alfonso Cavite

Have you ever visited a place that made you feel like you were living in a fairy tale? If you haven't, then you definitely need to add The Gingerbread House in Alfonso, Cavite to your Tagaytay tour itinerary!

This is just a part of our Alfonso Cavite-Tagaytay day tour via tricycle. Entrance fee is P150/pax but there is another option that includes refreshments, I think for P300. Since we were tight on the budget, we just opted for the entrance fee.

The main place is strategically placed in the middle of the area - Gingerbread House is a unique attraction that looks like it was plucked straight out of a storybook. It's a whimsical little mansion that looks like it was made entirely out of gingerbread, candy, and other sweets. And while you might not actually be able to eat the walls and roof, the experience of being surrounded by so much sugary goodness is still pretty sweet.

As soon as you step inside The Gingerbread House, you'll be transported to a magical world of candy canes, gumdrops, and gingerbread men. There were huge teddy bears, goodies, and mini gingerbread houses. You'll feel like you've stepped into the set of a Christmas movie!

I love you big big dirty Teddy Bear!

If you're feeling hungry after all the photo ops, the Gingerbread house is actually a small café where you can grab some snacks and refreshments. They serve a variety of treats, including cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.

It's Christmas everyday!

Despite the scorching heat from the summer sun, we took more photos outside coz our inner child said so!

Aside from taking photos and marveling at the intricate details of the gingerbread house, there are also plenty of activities that you can enjoy while you're there. Kids (and kids at heart) can avail face painting (although I’m not sure if it was available when we visited). There is an activity place where there is a stage, I think you can celebrate your birthday or other parties. They also have a museum where there were miniature gingerbread houses.

Visiting The Gingerbread House is a perfect activity for families, couples, and anyone who loves whimsy and magic. It's a unique attraction that you won't find anywhere else in the Philippines, and it's sure to leave a lasting impression. So if you're planning a Tagaytay tour, make sure to add The Gingerbread House to your list of must-visit places!
