Mango Pizza: The Pitstop Guimaras

I love mangoes!!! This is one of the main reasons why I wanted to go to Guimaras, and also to see (and taste) the difference between Zambales and Guimaras mangoes. Through research, I found this interesting restaurant where they serve mango-flavored dishes.

The Pitstop has two branches located in Jordan and Buenavista Guimaras. I have tried the one in Jordan, near the Capitol when I travelled in Guimaras last June. This was part of my day trip via motorcycle.

THE PLACE

Simple. Clean. When I got there there were not a lot of customers but the sound of the TV was loud enough to not make you feel alone. LOL.

THE SERVICE

The people are nice. They let a crazy lady talk to herself in front of the camera without any hint of judgement. Yes, the girl was me. Also they answer my questions about the menu politely.

THE FOOD

I ordered one regular mango pizza and a carbonara meal with 2 drinks. I ordered the combo meal because I thought my guide will be joining me but he just disappeared. I just gave him the drinks when he returned.

Mango Pizza (P279) I have to admit, I was hesitant to try this since I thought it would be too sweet. I hate sweet dishes that are not dessert. But I loved this! Could I love mangoes even more? The sweetness and sourness of mango slices compliment perfectly with the salty cheesiness of melted cheese (wut?), green bell pepper, and mushroom. One bite and I forgot my name, my problems, my existence, what the heck am I doing here, is this mango heaven?

Carbonara (179) It was creamy, as it should be. Since this is for sharing and I just ate about an hour ago, I didn't finish all. But I swear if I was hungry I can eat this all. Including the fork. Just kidding.

They also have other mango flavored/infused dishes like Sisig w/ mango bits, chicken mango curry, sinigang sa manga, and others. I shall try them all when I get back.

Overall, I loved my short brunch in The Pitstop and I highly recommend dining here when you visit Guimaras.

WAYS ON HOW TO GET TO THE PITSTOP

(1) Fly
(2) Swim
(3) Take a jeepney ride from Jordan port to Jordan Capitol (P15) and tel the driver to take you to The Pitstop
(4) Hire a guide and explore the entire Guimaras Island and pass by The Pitstop for some mango dishes.

I hope this helps you. This is part of my Solo day trip in Guimaras Island which is part of my  5-day trip to Iloilo-Guimaras-Gigantes Islands
Have you been to The Pitstop? Have you tried their mango pizza? Did you love it? Why not? Are you a psycho? Just kidding!
