After our tiring adventure in The Manila International Book Fair, we wanted to chill and fight the cold weather so we planned to get some coffee. But iced coffee in CBTL was so tempting so screw Ompong.
THE PLACE
It was small, cozy, and their yellow lights were relaxing to the point that it makes you sleepy. Great way to make people buy coffee to wake themselves up. Also, it is located near the bay so you can have an ocean view, depending on your table. The only con was that it was small so during rush hour, the place is full. We needed to come back after about an hour before getting a space.
THE SERVICE
The crew were so nice. Stupid me forgot my credit card in the cashier and they returned it. I like it also when the crew are smiling at the customers (not in a creepy way).
THE FOOD
We ordered calamansi pie and original iced mocha, which compliments each other's taste. I loved the calamansi pie especially; it's not too sweet and not too sour. There was nothing special/unique about the taste of iced mocha but I like that the elements are well blended (wow! critic?).
THE PRICE
This is another major downside, I found the food a bit pricier than others, even Starbucks. Check out their prices here.OVERALL
Among the other cafes in MOA, this might have the best location. But honestly I would try other cafes before I come back here.
