Wensha Spa Metrodeal discount voucher

I wish I am just click-baiting you but I really am not. Let's discuss first the Metrodeal. Honestly, I love the app/site. I had bought 5 vouchers for Photobook and several for entrance tickets for expos and I can tell you it's legit. But once I bought voucher for a massage with ventosa, I was disappointed: low quality service and hard to find location. Not to blaim Metrodeal though.

Now let's go with Wensha Spa (Pasay branch). I also loved it when I first tried it years ago. Imagine a healthy buffet with shabu shabu (with unlimited beef strips and veggies), combined with sauna, spa with complete bath amenities (towels, soap, shampoo, disposable toothbrush and comb, hair blower), and a relaxing, back-aligning 1-hour massage for just 800+? Take my money! I've witnessed Wensha's journey from the fire incident to its reborn and another reconstruction. I also tried the Timog QC branch but it didn't match with the Pasay branch. I've seen it grow... or should I say fall?

I bought 2 Metrodeal vouchers of Wensha for me and Piggy. I immediately called to book for reservation but I couldn't reach any of their numbers. Even the other branch's. I decided to call Metrodeal for help and they're accommodating. They asked for the details of the voucher and my preferred date and time. Alas, we are booked. 

On the day of our reserved date we were greeted by a hysterical woman complaining on the counter. After she left the attendant told us that they won't accommodate until 7PM because it was full inside. Imagine my face. It was a Monday! I starved myself to get ready for the buffet and I still have to wait? But then I waited. After a while I asked the attendant about the voucher, since we reserved a schedule (didn't thought of it earlier since I'm hungry) and she said we need to go to the room on the left and wait on a line.

Anyway it was just fast, they asked for my details and the vouchers' (you know, like the ones I gave the Metrodeal staff), she gave us the magnetic key bracelets, we changed slippers and entered. It wasn't that full but we were asked to queue our names on the massage list because the masseuses are limited so waiting time is long.

We proceeded to the buffet, or should I say food area. Buffet is unlimited right? There were only 2 dishes, a pancit, and veggies for shabu shabu, which is now self-service. I didn't mind. I was too hungry to even complain. Told myself "babawi na lang ako mamaya". I prepared the shabu-shabu with the help of one of the staff. They're still very accommodating even with the stressful work. I felt their lack of manpower. Kudos to them.

Preparing the shabu-shabu dish, I got veggies, misua, fishballs, and raw chicken cuts (this made me sad. Where's my beef strips?!). I cooked the chicken separately from the veggies and longer just to make sure no salmonella was left. LOL.

We went separate ways to take the sauna and spa, then meet afterwards to eat again. Only we didn't do it because this time it got worse. There's no rice, no spoon and fork, and I'm just to tired to prepare shabu shabu. And I realized there was no dessert, I hadn't seen the siopao heater contained siopao, and I've seen Wensha with full of people. That wasn't full at all. What the hell was happening? I felt bad for Piggy since that was his first time.
PS: I didn't even bother taking better photos coz I didn't think it's worth it.

Anyway, after the last sauna I took, I proceeded to the massage area where I had to wait for 30mins for the masseuse/therapist but at least I have an assigned bed. I've already fallen asleep when the therapist came. The massage was okay, not as good as before. We wanted to eat again before leaving because honestly I wasn't satisfied at all. But the food condition was still the same (if not worse) with the first hour we've been there so we just headed home.

I was so disappointed that I feel like I never want to go back anymore. I'm now also thinking twice before buying a Metrodeal voucher, especially for a service or restaurant. It's like shopping during Friday payday sale-day. Nightmare! I don't know if the service is better during non-sale season but I'm not taking chances.
